Girl Dies in UK – MDAI

Tanya Louise Hughes of Ramsey was found unconscious. The 17 year old girl died on the way to the hospital. A post mortem drug screening showed that MDAI was responsible for the cause of her death. Similar to MDMA, MDAI is a drug that produces enactogen effects in humans.

While no other deaths have been attributed to MDAI, it is not surprising to see people dying from it. These products are marketed as legal highs and naive users ingest them without hesitation; however, the active ingredients are potent research chemicals that can cause serious side effects when used irresponsibly.

A large problem with the legal highs circulating in the United Kingdom is that British suppliers are cutting their products with other substances. An analysis of legal highs revealed that many of the products in fact contained minuscule amounts of the advertised active ingredient and used fillers like 6-APB and caffeine. This is why we promote individuals to take initiative to research and purchase research chemicals on their own.

Irresponsible users hinder the progress the community is trying to make and potentially safe and recreational substances are being blindly banned left and right.
