Smoking Blends and Police

A member of the popular LegalHighGuides forum took their time to put together a “Frequently Asked Questions” page about smoking blends and incense. One of the questions that caught my eye was:

Can a cop arrest me for having a pipe and herbal incense on me?

Considering most people these days are rarely arrested anymore for being caught with paraphernalia and small amounts of weed, it is hard to say yes; however, it can happen. Given the circumstances, it is most likely you will have the pipe and herbal incense confiscated. Police may or may not field test the incense to see if is THC. It is more than likely that police departments all over the United States are aware of smoking blends and have standard procedures in place to handle such situations.

Now it is important to remember that isolated research chemicals in baggies will not be handled the same way. Police do not have the resources to field test random white powders and confidently conclude that you do not have an illegal substance. If you are pulled over and the cop find a bag with white powder in it, you will most likely be arrested and held in jail until the substance is tested.
